Why did Sainsbury's create Active Kids?

We originally launched the initiative in response to growing concerns about child obesity and activity. With one in three children in the UK overweight and one in five obese, Active Kids is a key part of our commitment to helping customers live healthier lives.

When and how can I collect vouchers?

We’re taking a fresh look at how we can keep kids active. We want to concentrate on the areas where we can make the biggest difference which is why we’ll be announcing a new approach to Active Kids. This will no longer involve exchanging vouchers for equipment and experiences so you will not be able to collect vouchers in store.

How has the Active Kids voucher system changed this year?

We’re taking a fresh look at how we can keep kids active. We want to concentrate on the areas where we can make the biggest difference which is why we’ll be announcing a new approach to Active Kids. This will no longer involve exchanging vouchers for equipment and experiences so you will not be able to collect vouchers in store.

How successful has Active Kids been?

Thanks to the fantastic support of local communities and parents, we've provided over £185million* of cooking and sports equipment, and experiences to UK schools and clubs.
